New mode of transport - The tricycle

You have a new mode of transport and that's the tricycle!

Your grandparents decide to buy you a tricycle. Such a fortunate kid. I don't remember owning any bicycle or tricycle. Seems like kids nowadays no need to ask and they are given!

So I chose a nice baby pink tricycle for you. You were still acting like you didn't want it when we were at the shop but when you sat on the tricycle, you were beaming with smiles.

But you still need to practise more to keep those wheels rolling.

School Uniform

You have been going to school for 2 months and you have been crying for 2 months every morning before we drop you off.

However, teacher said that you only cry a while and you will stop once we leave. Sigh. Don't know if it is a good idea to let you go school. Don't know if you really cannot adapt well. Hope some experienced mother will enlighten me

Last day in HK

Have to go back to Singapore on 22 April 2012.

Overall you have been a relatively co-operative baby. But the staircases at the MTR is enough to kill all of us.

You have also learnt to take the escalator by yourself in HK! It will be more convenient for us to hold you than to always look for the lift or carry you while using the escalator.

At HK Airport, you saw Macdonald's sign and requested for french fries AGAIN!

There is also a disneyland shop at the Airport just in case tourists didn't get enough of disneyland items. So you were so excited in the shop again. Keep pointing and identifying the different cartoon characters.

Hong Kong Day 4 - Big Buddha 21.04.2012

Today we went to Big Buddha to pray pray. We took the cable car and had to cross two mountains before reaching Ngong Ping 360. You enjoyed the ride thoroughly but did not climb up with Daddy and Mummy to Big Buddha.

HK Day 3- Disneyland 20.04.2012

And yes in HK day 3, it was raining too! But we decided to bring you go despite of the rain. Because the weather forecast said that the next day will also be raining! ...

And so we went to buy their disneyland raincoats and went to play indoor rides. Not a very good idea to spend HKD 399 to go in and cannot play the rides. Also not many characters were out to take pictures except Mickey and Minnie!

Hong Kong Day 2 19.04.2012

Today you are a super happy kid! The whole day you were singing songs in the MTR and the people around you will praise you as a clever girl. The whole MTR is filled with your happy voices.

Really love the way you are today :) And you will pose for me to take pictures also!

So today we planned to go Disneyland today and we even dressed you in your Minnie Mouse dress. The whole family trotted down via the MTR which was quite a distance. The moment we reached there, it was raining heavily! We decided to call off the plans as I did not want to spend close to 100 bucks per person just to be drenched.

Hence we decided to go to the Citygate Factory Outlet just nearby at Tung Chung MTR for shopping! You slept throughout the time you were at Citygate while we went shopping. When you woke up you still remembered the Mickey Mouse and kept asking me if the rained stop and if you can go and see him. Aww..

Hong Kong Day 1 18.04.2012

Wah this is the first time you take a aeroplane and we are going to HK! Waking up at 5am to catch a 7am flight makes u a real cranky baby! You do not want to sit on your own seat and cried while being tied to your seat for taking off. And when landing, you were tied to Daddy which is supposed to be for babies below 2years old.

Then we took the electric tram up to The Peak and also to the wax museum.

Subsequently, we found a pub-like place to sit down so that we can admire the view and rest there. And you insisted you want to eat french fries. Your super favourite food recently. Keep asking me for fries! And in Singapore if we passed by MacDonald's you will pull me in to buy you a packet of fries.

Overall, today you keep wanting to carry. Also very  non-coorperative. And you were also very tired. We went to women's street and you fell asleep in Daddy's arms.

Milestones

Been so long since I updated your blog so this post is about some of the milestones you have hit (not at an exponential rate anymore)

You have finally mastered how to fix puzzles. This fine motor skills of yours is so difficult to master and you have very little patience. Very often if you cannot put in the pieces of puzzles, you will give it up. But I am worried that  you do not want to hold your pen properly. You like to grab your pen and refused to learn how to do it the right way.

You have been in school for one month plus already and you did not wail so scarily in the morning anymore. However, whenever you reach school,  you will cry before daddy departs. You learnt new songs in school like London Bridge and Good Morning Teacher song. I am happy at least you absorb some things in school :)
